Weekend Again!!

What does it mean when week-ends seem to come around really quickly?? Does that mean I am enjoying work and the week is passing quickly?? Well, had some very good news work-wise on Wednesday - secured a major peice of business - will keep me very busy for some weeks/months in delivering on the opportunity it presents.
My blog and quality of blogging has definitely slid a way down the slippery slope of oblivion - very irregular writing and writing standard of "today I stroked the fox terrier" - But this is only whilst I have been so busy (and I have actually been missing writing). Been inspired by Tony G's nomination of me as his official "Podcast" sound engineer - went out on Saturday looking at bits and peices to make his first podcast a reality! Beware, the "POMCAST" is coming!! Who will Tony's first interviewee be?? Watch out people, Tony is cruising the blogosphere looking for a lilkely suspect!! Caught up with daughter Amanda on Friday night and so Kylie Amanda and I headed down Chapel St to "Amigo's", that legendary Mexican restaurant that my daughter introduced to us. Went for a walk through the JAm factory, and after looking round windows and shops, went home. It was a late one Friday nite and incredibly slept in till 11:30am - unbelivable for me. Then a walk on the beach with Kylie and Tina for about an hour - then back home, out to the gadget shops looking for ideas on recording podcasts using Skype - I really want to have a good quality sound - got Cam and Mick's standard to "live up" to after all. Then meeting up with Tony in Glenhuntly Rd for cofee - scared the life out of him as he now realises that he is going to have to get his act together and plan his first podcast as the excuse of "not having a recording set-up" will rapidly evaporate this week - then back home for a "quiet one".
Sunday - awoke early - did 3 hours work on large work project - planning and strategy work - then, lovely drive with Kylie to northern suburbs including Eltham - back home - Lots of fun with Tina all weekend - she is getting bigger - very clever!

Great Weekend!

Saturday - 11:00am flight back to Melbourne from Sydney - car in Qantas Valet - A very big thanks Charlotte for calling Qantas to locate my license and have it waiting for me with my keys at Qantas Valet Parking. Home after a visit to the city to Digiworld, my favourite computer shop. Stayed home for the rest of the day. Great to be back with Kylie at home again! Worked most of Saturday evening on tender project - really challenging to find the best way to express my view on establishing a "virtual" business unit to provide what I believe is the "right" and "best" client solution. 

Sunday - slept in till 10:30am - worked on my tender project till 2pm (actually did some really good work) then, at about 2pm, Kylie and I left to go and pick up Sue and headed off to the St Kilda Festival for drinks, good company, great live music, drinking and dancing at the "Dogs Bar".

Summer Dayz

Been very very busy at work lately (all last week!) - preparing for a very important client presentation for this coming Friday... seriously neglecting my blog- also, I actually really relaxed on the weekend just past - Had a great night out with daughter Amanda and her best friend Kylie on Saturday night (and my Kylie) - we went to AMIGOS, the mexican restaurant in Chapel Street. We were looked after very well by our exceptional waitress Rose - the Mexican is just sensational - if you like Mexican and you haven't tried Amigos, go do yourself a favour. Sunday, went to my Mum's for brunch as we usually do each Sunday and then we just went home and I SLEPT for most of the day - most unlike me - well, there is a first for everything...Enjoyed a late evening swim at the Brighton Baths tonight, after a long hard day at work ... Jumped in the water at 7:30pm, blue sky, sun still shining strongly, slowly sinking in the west... the water a little cold at first with the southerly sea breeze blowing but beautiful once you are in. 21 degrees was the water temperature - so refreshing on a hot day. Kylie was very brave - she followed me in the water and then didn't want to get out! Right now, I am watching the "Urban Myth-busters" replicating a 300lb "butt"! - the effort, science, ingenuity and rigour that these guys put into the most inane and mindless pursuits never cease to amaze me!!
