Today, Netregistry auctioned off a selection of two letter domain names - one of which was the domain name that would give you the web address www.hr.com.au . YES HR.COM.AU!! It sold for about $AUD7,000 - which I think is INCREDIBLY CHEAP - what is it really worth?? The other name that went for around $7k - $10k was www.re.com.au - Could this be a competitor to realestate.com.au??
The two letter domain names were auctioned by www.netregistry.com.au and the auction closed at 5pm AEST today (Friday 19th May, 2006). The same person appears to have bought the two most expensive domains - hr.com.au and re.com.au - now, I'll watch carefully to see what happens with these domains - if they are re-sold or actually used - and if they are re-sold - for how much... STAY TUNED...
