Tony Goodson on Da Vinci Code - The Movie

Thank you Tony, I think that your review of the Da Vinci code was VERY well written - and it has certainly encouraged me to re-consider leaving the comfort of my couch and venturing out to go to see this movie at the cinema. Until your review, I was lulled into a sense of resignation by my impression of what the "critics" were saying - now, after reading your review, I will definitely go see the movie as it was meant to be seen - on the big screen. Can you please review a few films a month so I don't miss any films that I really should go and see??

Google Desktop Search Does not work correctly on my computer

Who else is finding that their installation of Google Desktop search is not indexing fully? Is anyone aware of what anti-virus/spyware programs might interfere with Google desktop search??

Growing up GOTTI - WHAT IS THIS??

By the way - I have just seen a TV commercial on "Growing up GOTTI"  - all about the mother and sons of the GOTTI  millionaire family. Am I hearing right when they advertise this family as having connections to the "mob" - is it just me or is there something a little bit weird about this show - Where did this family's millions come from? Are we being shown the upbringing of a family whose family fortune has its roots in the proceeds of organised crime?? Am I missing something??

Two Letter .au domain names auctioned today

Today, Netregistry auctioned off a selection of two letter domain names - one of which was the domain name that would give you the web address www.hr.com.au . YES HR.COM.AU!!  It sold for about $AUD7,000 - which I think is INCREDIBLY CHEAP - what is it really worth??  The other name that went for around $7k - $10k was www.re.com.au  - Could this be a competitor to realestate.com.au??

The two letter domain names were auctioned by www.netregistry.com.au and the auction closed at 5pm AEST today (Friday 19th May, 2006). The same person appears to have bought the two most expensive domains - hr.com.au and re.com.au   - now, I'll watch carefully to see what happens with these domains - if they are re-sold or actually used - and if they are re-sold - for how much... STAY TUNED...
