House of the Week - Melbourne - Elsternwick 13 Seymour Rd

HeadHunter MELBOURNE House of the Week Award goes to Wilson Pride who are offering the property at 13 Seymour Road Elsternwick for sale. This is a house for anyone with an artistic or bohemian flair - it is very reminiscent of the National Gallery archtecture!

According to a recent article in a local Bayside newspaper, the MEDIAN property value of ELSTERNWICK properties sold in the quarter to June 2004 compared with June 2005 has risen by a whopping ... WAIT FOR IT... 67%. What I understand that to mean is that the median price for all houses sold in the quarter to June 2005 was 67% higher than the median price for houses sold in the quarter to June 2004.. whatever - it is a VERY significant figure.

Happy Father's Day

A beautiful crisp, still, bright and sunny day in Melbourne today. I awoke early, and decided to take my bicycle for a well-earned ride along the foreshore - as a Father's Day present to myself. What a great idea that was - today was a perfect day for a bike ride, sun shining, no wind, and after about an hour of riding to St Kilda and back, I met Kylie and Tina at the Sandown Street "dog" beach. Then it was off to Mum's for brunch and a bowl of Mum's very lovingly made vegetable and barley soup - mmm, beautiful. Received some very nice and thoughtful presents today from Kylie (on behalf of our "daughter" Tina ) - Thank you Kylie - I loved the presents and your loving caring wishes!!
After vsisting Mum's, kylie and I went house-hunting and saw an amazing  architectural icon in Seymour road Elsternwick -  For more details, see my next post that will become a regular feature...

House of the Week - MELBOURNE..

Friday Note at the Movies!!

No walking to night - needx to do a "double" tomorrow - Oh yes - shed .5 of a kilo according to the scales this morning!! So, arrived home about 7 - it's Friday night and Kylie offered to take me to the movies! So, after a quick snack of nachos and freshly squeezed juice in Church Street, it was off to see either RED EYE or WEDDING CRASHERS.

Wedding Crashers sounded like a sequel to the Wedding Singer, and you know how sequels are rarely that good - so , even though I enjoyed the Wedding Singer, my expectations of Wedding Crashers was not that high.
Was i pleasantly surprised!! After watching the movie and spending almost the entire time in fits of laughter, I can tell you that this is one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a very, very long time. It has NOTHING to do with the Wedding Singer and it is NOT a sequel - it is one very, very funny (and slightly twisted) movie that had Kylie and I rolling in our seats in laughter. I recommend it to anyone with a pulse. PS, good to hear from my serial commenter PS Kay who has not been well - good to hear from you PS and wishing you a full recovery and continuing good health - we need you around to help solve the problems of the world mate!!

Walking again to night

After the blustery winds of the last two nights when I was not bothered to brave the King Lear-like storms and venture out for a walk - tonight was a very different story.

Left home at 7pm, walked for an hour with dog (Tina) and got back home at 8:00pm. Very still, calm night - Bay flat - visibility high, quite mild out.
